Megan Daniel, NCC, LPC
Welcome! My name is Megan Daniel and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Dallas, Texas. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with adolescents and adults from a wide variety of backgrounds. I love being a part of a person's growth journey! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from St. Edward’s University and my Master’s in Counseling from Texas A&M University Commerce. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor by the state of Texas. My license number is 81184.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and goal oriented. I enjoy getting to know you as a person (and the expert on your own life), and then working together to identify goals and solutions that make sense for you. Together, we will clarify goals and next steps when dealing with life transitions or challenges, work to develop healthy coping skills and thinking patterns to help during challenging times, and develop a positive sense of self. I believe in holistically and non-judgmentally working with an individual, being respectful of each client’s traditions, and working to understand the client and what works best for them, and help the client gain understanding and healing for themselves. By working together, clients develop and implement new skills in order to heal from past wounds and live a more satisfying life.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. I believe that therapy modalities adjust based on the needs of the individual.
Seeking therapy takes courage, and I am here to support and empower you throughout this journey, whether you are seeking a happier life, or simply need an ear to listen. I look forward to working with you to create positive change in how you feel about and view yourself and your life.
